The Chabanel Collection

Chabanel Passport Wallet

Handcrafted in Canada.

Sale price$180.00

This is the piece you carry for years: compact, useful, and better every time it takes a trip. Cut from Horween Essex and handcrafted in Canada, it brings the same material seriousness and restraint as the larger pieces from the Chabanel Collection. Slim enough to travel easily, structured enough to hold its shape, and built to pick up the marks of repeated use.

The layout is disciplined and entirely functional. A dedicated sleeve secures a standard international passport, paired with two slots for your important cards. Beneath them, a generous interior pocket sits flat to hold cash or transit documents without adding unnecessary bulk. Slim enough to slip easily into a jacket pocket, carry-on, or the exterior pocket of the matching Weekender Bag.

Designed to keep the essentials together without adding bulk, the Chabanel Passport Wallet gives you a dedicated place for your passport, along with room for cards and the documents you reach for most often when moving through the day.

The proportions are intentional, and this is leather that takes on use honestly. This piece will soften, mark, and deepen with every trip.

What it Holds

The Chabanel Collection is made-to-order.

Every piece in the collection is made to order, with a process built around precision and a lead time of approximately 2 months. This approach allows us to focus on build quality, material integrity, and finishing rather than excess inventory.

  1. Material Sourcing: We secure the leather, lining, and hardware needed.
  2. Workshop Production: Your piece enters the workshop, where the leather is cut, assembled, stitched, and finished by hand. This is the most time-intensive part of the process, and the place where the build really takes shape.
  3. Finishing and Inspection: Each piece moves through final finishing and quality control, where the details are checked, the structure is reviewed, and the piece is prepared for shipment.
  4. Fulfillment: Once complete, your piece is packed and dispatched for delivery.
A Note on the Variables

Our pieces are built through focused partnerships and a domestic network of makers. This model allows for extreme precision, but it also means we are beholden to the honesty of the materials and the patience of the artisan. We do not believe in shortcuts. If a timeline extends, it’s a reflection of our refusal to compromise the structural integrity of your piece. While we’ll prioritize maintaining delivery dates, we’ll remain in close contact with you if any dates are shifted.

Archive is a Canadian leather goods company focused on making fewer, better things. Our boots and leather goods are produced in small runs through a domestic network of makers who bring deep expertise to the craft. The goal isn’t endless newness — it’s pieces that hold up, wear well, and remain worth keeping years down the line.
