The Chabanel Collection

Chabanel Valet Tray

Handcrafted in Canada.

Sale price$200.00

Your daily routine deserves a proper home. Placed by the door or on a nightstand, the Chabanel Valet Tray creates a disciplined, heavy-working space to unburden your pockets of keys, coins, and high-frequency tools.

Handcrafted in Canada from Horween Essex vegetable-tanned leather, the tray is secured with clean edge finishing and anchored by solid brass rivets at the corners. This hide will not stay immaculate. It is built to take a beating from your everyday carry, picking up creases, scuffs, and a honeyed patina that documents daily use.

Placed on your desk, entryway console, or nightstand, it is sized to catch the heavy items that usually scatter across a counter.

What it Holds

The Chabanel Collection is made-to-order.

Every piece in the collection is made to order, with a process built around precision and a lead time of approximately 2 months. This approach allows us to focus on build quality, material integrity, and finishing rather than excess inventory.

  1. Material Sourcing: We secure the leather, lining, and hardware needed.
  2. Workshop Production: Your piece enters the workshop, where the leather is cut, assembled, stitched, and finished by hand. This is the most time-intensive part of the process, and the place where the build really takes shape.
  3. Finishing and Inspection: Each piece moves through final finishing and quality control, where the details are checked, the structure is reviewed, and the piece is prepared for shipment.
  4. Fulfillment: Once complete, your piece is packed and dispatched for delivery.
A Note on the Variables

Our pieces are built through focused partnerships and a domestic network of makers. This model allows for extreme precision, but it also means we are beholden to the honesty of the materials and the patience of the artisan. We do not believe in shortcuts. If a timeline extends, it’s a reflection of our refusal to compromise the structural integrity of your piece. While we’ll prioritize maintaining delivery dates, we’ll remain in close contact with you if any dates are shifted.

Archive is a Canadian leather goods company focused on making fewer, better things. Our boots and leather goods are produced in small runs through a domestic network of makers who bring deep expertise to the craft. The goal isn’t endless newness — it’s pieces that hold up, wear well, and remain worth keeping years down the line.
